Mother Mary's Children Centre (MMCC) is non-profit making Charitable Organisation which assists orphans and vulnerable children, chronically ill patients, elderly and other needy people in Chikwawa and Zomba Districts.

Currently the Organisation is supporting 350 Orphans and Vulnerable Children (under five years old) in Chikwawa district. It has three Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD) namely Mlambe CBCC Centre, Mpokonyola CBCC Centre and Chinkole CBCC Centre in Traditional Authority Katunga.

The Organisation has also one centre in Zomba district in Mtiya 2, called Atuweni CBCC. The centre has 235 registered children. The organisation is supporting these children through feeding program and nursery school education.

Main Goal

The Goal of Mother Mary’s Children Centre is to see the reduction of HIV and AIDS and improved nutritional health status and social welfare of the orphans and vulnerable people in the communities.

Mission Statement

The Mission Statement of the body is to contribute towards the reduction of HIV and AIDS in Chikwawa and Zomba, through the provision of information, education, feeding programmes, Home Based Care (HBC) and support for orphans and vulnerable people affected and infected by HIV and AIDS.

Our  Vision

To see improved education and nutritional health status for the orphans and other vulnerable people by the year 2015.
